Distance Support

For new clients, email and phone support is free until your third visit. After that, for certain types of support, you can either pay as you go or sign up for an annual plan. We will discuss your preference at your third visit. Annual support plans are offered on a April 1 -March 30 billing cycle. If you start part way through the cycle, it will be pro-rated. The annual packages vary in cost depending on support desires and number of family members. For individuals, annual support begins at $200 / year.

Distance Support FAQ

What kind of email support will remain free of charge?

Email support is free for clarifications related to your in-clinic visit, current remedies (including remedy reactions, etc.) and for all administrative-related matters (naturally). Acute-care email support will be offered free of charge to new clients up until their third clinic visit.

Which annual support package is right for me?

We can discuss this at your third visit.

What if I don’t want an annual support package?

The Pay as You Go option will work great for you.

Will my insurance cover this?

Some health insurance providers do provide reimbursement for telemedicine consults with licensed naturopathic doctors. Please check with your provider. A receipt will be emailed to you within a week of your online purchase. The line item will read: Telemedicine Consults - Annual Support Package. This service is considered a naturopathic consultation and is thus tax exempt.

What happens if I overuse / underuse my annual support plan?

It’s Dr. Keith’s intention not to bill people if they exceed the package time by less than 30% (a soft ceiling). The whole idea is to make this simple and easy for everyone. As for credits, if the package goes completely unused, it can be rolled over to the next year. If there is some usage, no credit is planned (it's a bit like a retainer in this way) and this can be discussed as needed. Most people love their annual support and use it well.

How quickly will Dr. Keith reply to me?

In most cases, the fastest way to reach Dr. Keith is by email. Dr. Keith tries his best to respond to emails within 24 hours of receiving them (except during offline times). If you do not receive a reply within this timeframe, please resend your email; very occasionally emails are missed.

What about offline times?

Dr. Keith takes an email break between 5pm Friday and 9am Monday each week. Emails received during this time will generate an automated response advising you to call the clinic phone (if your concern is urgent), with an option to connect through to Keith's cell phone. If you email or call during a holiday period when  the clinic is offline, you will receive an autoresponder and / or phone message to that effect. If you receive this message, please use the online resources, other members of your support team, and emergency services as needed.

How do I sign up for a distance package?

This will be handled in clinic during your third clinic visit. The annual packages will be pro-rated based on the months remaining until the next April-March billing cycle. 

Can I share a package with related clients?

Yes. Packages can be individual or shared among related clients.
